2025-2026 Masterworks Line Up:
October 3-5, 2025 – An immersive blend of symphonic sound and visual art, featuring Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition orchestrated by Ravel, Hindemith’s Mathis der Maler, and Carlos Simon’s The Block.
November 21-23, 2025 – The return of violinist William Hagen (you might remember his sold-out Vivaldi Four Seasons concert in March 2024) performing Mendelssohn’s iconic violin concerto, along with Beethoven’s joyful 8th Symphony. Also on the program is Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante, shining a light on 4 soloists from our own orchestra.
January 16-18, 2026 – A thrilling all-Prokofiev program with pianist Natasha Paremski, featuring his 3rdPiano Concerto, and suites from Lieutenant Kije and Romeo and Juliette.
March 13-15, 2026 – Celebrating the U.S. Semiquincentennial and the opening of the Thaddeus Stevens & Lydia Hamilton Smith Center for History and Democracy with a new commission by Lancaster’s own D Michael Wege. The program also includes Aaron Copland’s A Lincoln Portrait and William L. Dawson’s Negro Folk Symphony
May 15-17, 2026 – A dazzling season finale featuring Lauridsen’sLux Aeternawith the Lancaster Symphony Chorus and perhaps the largest orchestra Lancaster has ever had on a stage with Gustav Holst’sThe Planets.
