Volunteer Opportunities

Contribute your time and become an essential extension of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra team! The Symphony has numerous volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities.

Volunteer Usher

Join us as a volunteer usher at LSO’s Masterworks, Holiday, and Pops performances, as well as Student Education Concerts. Volunteers will assist with tasks such as scanning tickets, guiding guests to their seats, greeting attendees, and more. No prior experience is required, and opportunities are open to individuals of all ages and mobility levels.

Musician Hospitality

Throughout the year, our fine musicians need to have their batteries recharged with snacks, lunch, or dinner. Servers are needed to help at each of these occasions!

Office Administration

The Symphony Office is open year-round, and we would appreciate your help preparing mailings, invitations, and surveys. Computer skills are not necessary, but are welcome.

Special Events

The Symphony’s special events include our spring Gala, Season Opening Silent Auction, and other fundraisers.

Internships

The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra is a unique nonprofit organization that provides experience to anyone wanting a career in the arts. The Symphony offers unpaid internships to college students throughout the year.

Senior Projects

High School seniors working on senior projects are welcome to include the Lancaster Symphony in the efforts. Opportunities are limited depending on the size and scope of the project.
