Guy McIntosh

Executive Director

Guy McIntosh is a professional musician, arts advocate, and marketing specialist with a track record for leading arts and education-focused organizations to successfully build audiences, increase revenue and expand their community impact. ​On July 1, 2020, Guy McIntosh was named Executive Director of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra. 

  • Guy works closely with LSO musicians, staff, and the Board of Directors to fulfill the Symphony’s goals of artistic excellence, community engagement and educational outreach.

    Guy joined the LSO Staff from the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. While at the MSO he oversaw a successful digital transformation, updated marketing campaigns and a strong focus on public relations, all of which were credited to the Symphony’s record sales for their 2019-2020 season.

    Originally a member of Lancaster Symphony’s trumpet section, Guy uses his experience as a professional musician to be a proponent of making classical arts accessible for all, and to redefine what a professional symphony orchestra should mean to its community.

    Guy holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Royal Academy of Music in London. As a musician he has performed with the London Sinfonietta, Baltimore Symphony, Lancaster Symphony, Reading Symphony, Kennett Symphony, Maryland Lyric Opera, Washington Opera Society, Mid-Atlantic Symphony, Williamsburg Symphony, and countless other performing arts organizations around the region.

    In his spare time, Guy enjoys experiencing Lancaster’s incredible restaurant scene with his partner StephJo Wise, taking day trips around Lancaster County with StephJo and her son Hugo, and cooking at their home in Lancaster City.

Melinda Myers

Programs & Events Director

Melinda Myers has a background in music business, retail management and has extensive symphony and relationship-building experiences. Melinda was previously the Librarian and the Administrative Assistant for the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, the Store Manager for The Music & Arts Center in Hagerstown, MD, and has over ten years of retail management experience.

  • Since joining the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra in 2015, her grant application won the Central Penn Non-Profit Innovation Award in the Programs category in 2016 and a runner-up in 2018 for her development of the LSO’s Play it Forward Program. In addition, Melinda was key to securing the invitation to bring the exclusive Carnegie Hall Link Up program to Lancaster County and oversees the development, implementation, and growth of the Sound Discovery children’s programs which benefit over 10,000 community members each year. Ms. Myers holds a B.A. from Millersville University in Music Business and Technologies with a concentration in saxophone.

Robert Sushinski

Patron Services & Office Manager

Robert Sushinski joined the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra beginning with the 2021-2022 season. With a background in sales and marketing, Robert brings a high level of customer service to our subscribers and guests, while also helping around the office.

  • Robert, a Lancaster native, served as a French Horn Instrumentalist with the 1st Marine Division Band during his enlistment in the Marine Corps and holds a B.S. from Millersville University in Business Management

    Currently, Robert is a Graduate student at the University of Maryland, pursuing a Master of Business Administration. When Robert isn’t working or studying, he can be found on a golf course, under an old Volkswagen, or on a couch relaxing with his fiance and 3 cats Binks, Dale, and Billie.

Dr. William Wright

Chorusmaster

Dr. William Wright performs as both conductor and pianist, and has appeared in twenty-seven countries of the world. He joined the Lancaster Symphony as chorusmaster in 2008, and in addition to preparing the chorus for performances of major works with the Lancaster Symphony, he has conducted the orchestra’s Sounds of the Season concerts since 2009. Dr. Wright also serves as director of choral music at Franklin & Marshall College and as a faculty member at Harvard University Summer School. Over the course of his career, he has conducted over forty major choral-orchestra works.

  • Dr. Wright is a native and long-time resident of Boston. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College where he received the Lincoln Lowell Russell Prize for music performance and the Edward Poole Lay Fellowship for graduate study in music. He earned a Master of Music degree in piano performance from The New England Conservatory, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he was awarded the Charles Hayes Fellowship.

    As pianist, Dr. Wright performs as soloist and chamber musician, and as orchestral pianist for the Lancaster Symphony. Over the past year he has performed numerous solo recitals in Massachusetts, Florida, and Pennsylvania, including a highly successful benefit concert for Tabor Community Services of Lancaster. In recent years he has performed chamber music with principal players of the Charlotte Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, and the Atlanta Symphony, and appeared at numerous summer music festivals including the Merrywood Music Festival, The Yellowbarn Chamber Music Festival, the Monadnock Music Festival, and The Wellesley College Composers Conference.

    In addition to his current positions, Dr. Wright has been a faculty member at Tufts University, Clark University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the New England Conservatory Preparatory Division, the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, the Roxbury Latin School, and the International School of Islamabad, Pakistan.
