Piazzolla Various Tangos

Tango is the theme as we present a trio of musicians who come together on bandoneon, cello and piano. The provocative power in this collection of Astor Piazzolla’s tango works will bring the Argentinian heat!

Sounds of the Season

A festive holiday concert for the entire family. LSO’s Sounds of the Season Concert at Barshinger Center for Musical Arts at Franklin & Marshall College. Come celebrate the holiday season with the LSO!

Location: Fulton Theatre

Together with the Lancaster Symphony Chorus, Dr. William B. Wright, chorusmaster, the Symphony will perform Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. A piece filled with inner reflections, warmth, peace and radiance, this innovative work is paired with Beethoven’s light hearted self-proclaimed “little symphony” – Symphony No. 8.

Sirena Huang takes on Wieniawski’s challenging Violin Concerto No. 2 along with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra to open our celebration season. This eclectic program also includes Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7.

Winter Romance

Bring your Valentine to experience the romance from Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” Suite. The swooning violin of Asi Matathias will warm your hearts and take you on a journey to experience the snowy Russian countryside.

Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor” will fill the hall with majesty and breathtaking brilliance as one of Lancaster’s leading pianists, Matthew Graybil performs with the LSO. Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, “Trauer” and Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 5 rounds out this spectacular program.


I enjoyed the well performed selections. It made me feel glad that I have always enjoyed good music and have participated myself over the years. Thank you for a great experience.
