Tango is the theme as we present a trio of musicians who come together on bandoneon, cello and piano. The provocative power in this collection of Astor Piazzolla’s tango works will bring the Argentinian heat!

Contemplations

Together with the Lancaster Symphony Chorus, Dr. William B. Wright, chorusmaster, the Symphony will perform Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. A piece filled with inner reflections, warmth, peace and radiance, this innovative work is paired with Beethoven’s light hearted self-proclaimed “little symphony” – Symphony No. 8.

Emperor
Date: March 13th & 14th, 2020
Location: Cultural Center, Willow Valley Communities
Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor” will fill the hall with majesty and breathtaking brilliance as one of Lancaster’s leading pianists, Matthew Graybil performs with the LSO. Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, “Trauer” and Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 5 rounds out this spectacular program.
