Each open rehearsal begins at 3pm with an informal Q&A session with the featured guest artist, staff member or LSO musician. At 3:30, when the rehearsal begins, Lido, the Lancaster Symphony’s animated conductor’s baton, is used in a PowerPoint presentation to give ongoing commentary. Not familiar with classical music? Not to worry. . . Lido will “tell” you what to look and listen for.

Each attending student receives a PARENT/STUDENT ticket voucher to use at any time during the orchestra’s current concert season. (Buy one student ticket and bring an adult for free.) Complimentary ticket vouchers are also given to each music educator, club representative or coordinating parent who attends an Open Rehearsal while bringing a group of 10 or more.
